Keeping your breath fresh

We all hate that feeling, the fear of having bad breath, but it does happen to most of us at some point or another. So here are some ways to ensure that your breath is always smelling good!

DON’T FORGET YOUR VEGGIES

Not only will your body will thank you your teeth will too! Greens create a more alkaline environment, so the bad-breath-causing acid in your body balances out. Win, win!

EAT HARD FOOD

Hard food such as apples, celery and carrots can help remove food caught between your teeth and also rub away and nasty bacteria that sits on your teeth. In effect hard crunchy foods act as a natural toothbrush. For instance, eating an apple after your lunch can be a great way to keep on top of your oral hygiene during your working day!

CLEAN YOUR TONGUE

Bacteria stick to your taste buds, then release a waste byproduct that causes a horrible smell. When you use a tongue scraper or brush your tongue, you remove any bacteria, byproducts from the bacteria, leaving you with a lovely smelling breath!

DON’T SMOKE

The nicotine in a cigarette squeezes the blood vessels stopping you from getting a healthy saliva flow. This stops your mouth’s normal functioning process and can lead to bad breath.

Take note of these handy tips and you will be on your way to having the best smelling breath in the house, you’re welcome!
